Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Announces Scholarship for Lawson State and Local High School Students

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Lambda Zeta Zeta Chapter (Bessemer, Alabama), is now accepting applications for two 2026 scholarship opportunities designed to support academic achievement and community engagement among young women. Both scholarships carry a March 15 submission deadline and aim to uplift students who demonstrate academic promise, leadership, and service.

Scholarship Application for Current Lawson State Community College Students

Lambda Zeta Zeta Chapter is offering a competitive scholarship of up to $500 for a current female student enrolled at Lawson State Community College. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, at least one semester remaining, and must submit an official transcript, a written essay, proof of community service, and a letter of recommendation from a community representative.

Applications must be mailed or submitted through the chapter's preferred portal and received no later than March 15.

Scholarship Application for Graduating High School Seniors

A second opportunity is available for graduating female high school seniors who plan to pursue higher education at a community college or four-year institution. Eligible students must have at least a 2.5 GPA, submit an official high school transcript, provide proof of community service, and include two letters of recommendation - one academic and one service-related.

The college is proud to partner with supportive organizations across the region as they invest their time, money and resources in Lawson State students. For more information about scholarships and other forms of financial aid, email finaid@lawsonstate.edu.
