The Application Process

Follow these steps to begin the general admissions application process. Lawson State is currently accepting applicants for the Summer and Fall 2023 semester
Complete our online application. It is easy!
Complete your free general admissions application.  Click here to view our General Admissions Table and see what you must submit to complete your general admissions process.

Step 2: Submit Required Admissions Documents

Log back into your Lawson State Application portal to view the required admissions checklist items. These documents must be submitted to the Admissions & Enrollment Services Office to complete your general admissions process. Contact the Office of Admissions & Enrollment Services for questions.

Step 3: Submit Official Transcripts

Submit your final high school transcript by mail, ATTENTION: ADMISSIONS, or email to admissions@lawsonstate.edu

If you earned your GED, follow these instructions to request your official GED score report.

If applicable, please submit official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities. Students with a Conferred Bachelors degree, need only submit an official transcript from degree-granting institution.
Log back into your Lawson State Application Portal and check that you have completed all of the admissions requirements. You will receive an admissions communication confirming your acceptance status.

Understanding Your Admissions Status:

  1. Conditional Acceptance: Students who have not submitted all required documentation will be admitted as conditional status. Failure to provide documentation by the end of the first semester will prevent a student from future registration and official transcript release. Required admissions documents can be viewed by logging back into your admissions application portal.

  2. Unconditional Acceptance:  Students who have submitted all required documentation will be admitted unconditionally.
