The Application Process

Follow these steps to complete the transfer student enrollment process at Lawson State. Feel free to contact the Office of Admissions & Enrollment Services if you need assistance
Fill out the free online application for general admissions. Please ensure that your application progress equals 100% before submitting. 

Step 2: Submit Required Admissions Documents

Log back into your Lawson State Application portal to view the required admissions checklist items. These documents must be submitted to the Admissions & Enrollment Services Office to complete your general admissions process. Contact the Office of Admissions & Enrollment Services for questions.

Step 3: Submit Official Transcripts

Submit your final high school transcript by mail, ATTENTION: ADMISSIONS, or email to admissions@lawsonstate.edu.

If you earned your GED, follow these instructions for submitting your Report of Scores.

Submit official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities.
Students who have earned a Conferred
Bachelors Degree need only submit an
official transcript from the awarding
college or university.

A transfer student whose cumulative
grade point average at the transfer
institution(s) is less than 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
will be admitted on Academic Probation.

An applicant who has been academically
suspended from a previously attended college or
university may be admitted only after
following the Admissions Appeal Process. If the
a transfer student is admitted upon appeal,
the student will enter the institution on
Academic Probation.
Log back into your Lawson State Application Portal and check that you have completed all of the admissions requirements. You will receive an admissions communication confirming your acceptance status. 

Understanding Your Admissions Status:

  1. Conditional Acceptance: Students who have not submitted all required documentation will be admitted as conditional status. Failure to provide documentation by the end of the first semester will prevent a student from future registration and official transcript release. Required admissions documents can be viewed by logging back into your admissions application portal. 
     
  2. Unconditional Acceptance:  Students who have submitted all required documentation will be admitted unconditionally.
