Lawson State Community College announces the launch of its federally funded Polish and Paint Scholarship for the Fall 2026 semester. The new scholarship will award $1,000 to the first five eligible women who register for Auto Body and Collision Repair coursework.
The scholarship is funded through the federal Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, which supports initiatives that expand access to career and technical education and encourage enrollment in fields where students have been historically underrepresented. The Polish and Paint Scholarship is designed to increase female participation and completion rates in Auto Body and Collision Repair, a high demand skilled trade program.
Both current and new students are eligible for the scholarship. Awards will be granted on a first come, first served basis, and scholarship funds will be applied directly to students’ accounts upon registration. Due to limited availability, early enrollment is strongly encouraged.
Students interested in Auto Body and Collision Repair are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to take advantage of this opportunity.
