This spring Lawson State Community College partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration, U. S. Attorney's Office, Northern District of Alabama and the Alabama Community College Public Safety Training Division to present a Basic Narcotics Investigation Course. The training drew dozens of federal, state, and local law enforcement officers from across the State of Alabama.
"Providing training like this enhances law enforcement's ability to efficiently and effectively address the issues that promote violent crime in our communities," said ACCS Public Safety Director Mark Bailey, who led the event in partnership with Lawson State.
"The college is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff," said Mr. Bailey. "Additionally, we are committed to assisting our surrounding communities with any effort to reduce violent crime."
