Final Wave of TMCF Scholarships Now Open-Don't miss out!

Lawson State students still have time to secure scholarship funding for the 2025-2026 academic year-but deadlines are fast approaching.

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) has opened its final wave of scholarships, offering a range of awards to support eligible students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), including those at Lawson State.

Among the available opportunities:
• Altria HBCU Scholarship - up to $5,000
• Wells Fargo Access Scholarship - up to $7,500
• Sallie Mae Fund "Completing the Dream" Gap Scholarship - $2,500
• Lowe's Gap Scholarship - up to $5,000
• JPMorgan Chase Hardship Scholarship - up to $2,500

Many awards are intended to help close financial gaps or overcome unexpected hardships that get in the way of achieving one's college goals.

Deadlines vary, with the earliest applications due Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Several other scholarships close December 1, 2025. Lawson State students are encouraged to apply and complete all application requirements-including FAFSA verification and a brief video component-through the TMCF Scholarship Portal at tmcf.org/scholarships.
