CSP Flyer

The Customer Service Professionals (CSP) Program, an eight-week workforce development course, is designed to prepare participants for success in customer-facing roles across various industries.
 
Developed in partnership with leading organizations, including Alabama PowerALFAASK TelemarketingBlue Cross and Blue Shield of AlabamaProtective LifeRegionsRx Benefits and Spire, the program offers a comprehensive curriculum focused on:
  • Managing customer service engagement
  • Developing efficient problem-solving skills
  • Enhancing communication proficiency
  • Using effective sales techniques
Applications are open from August 1-15, 2025 and can be submitted online here.  The program is $1,000, but scholarships are available for individuals in need, including veterans and people with disabilities. Spaces are limited. Interested? For information, call (205) 929-3485.
 
Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the biotech industry. During our FREE, 4-week course, you'll learn some of the most important essentials for success as a biotechnician, including:
  • Safety in Biotech Workplaces
  • Process of Making Biopharmaceuticals
  • Monitoring the Environment in Labs
  • Importance of Ethics in Biotech

Medication Aide, $1,300.00
On Campus -  Evening Program

  • 8 weeks and 4 weekboth of which include completion of a total of 100 hours of instruction (60 theory and 40 clinical). Classes include in person, remote, and clinical instruction.
  • Financial Assistance: 1) Workforce Innovation Act (WIOA) funds if eligible  2) Other
  • Payment Plan: Yes

Pharmacy Technician Certification, $2,400.00
Virtual Campus - Day Program

  • 16 weeks
  • Financial Assistance: 1) Workforce Innovation Act (WIOA) funds if eligible  2) Other
  • Payment Plan: Yes

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Program, $6,275.00
 Hybrid Blend -  Evening Program

  • 30 weeks (On Campus and Virtual Classroom, Lab, and Clinical Experience)
  • Financial Assistance: Workforce Innovation Act (WIOA) funds if eligible
  • Payment Plan: Yes
  • Requirement 1: Must be 18 yrs or age or older with HS Diploma or GED
  • Requirement 2: Perform Program's Essential Functions. Need Accommodations, visit ourDisability Services (ADA) page for more information.
  • Requirement 3: Must take a TABE Exam
  • Requirement 4: Ability to Pass Background Check and Drug Screen upon request
  • Requirement 5: Up to Date Vaccinations and/or Titers upon request

Certified Nursing Assistant
via the Adult Education Program "Educate to Elevate"

  • 5 weeks (Classroom, Lab, and Clinical Experience)
  • Immunizations (TB Skin Test and Hepatitis B Services), Uniform w/ Nursing Watch and Shoes, and State Certification Exam included
  • Requirements: Must be 18 yrs of age or older

Certified Production Technician Certification

Learning what businesses need

FREE training course designed by the Alabama Community College System to provide Alabamians with relevant, cutting-edge, and industry-driven employability skills training to better prepare individuals for the Alabama workforce. The main goal of the new ACE course is to ensure current and future workers are equipped with the skills necessary to enter the 21st-century Alabama workforce.

What participants can gain:

Employers trust our colleges' credentials. These are the credentials ACE participants gain after completing the program:

  • ACT's National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
  • Alabama Certified Employee Certificate (ACE)
  • One free college course (up to 4 credit hours)
  • Articulated credit for WKO 110 (3 credits) when enrolling in one of the state community colleges.

In addition to credentials, participants gain support, build confidence, improve their opportunities, and get access to ongoing skill upgrades and lifelong learning.
