Blackboard is the college's Learning Management System (LMS) that houses course work for all
Lawson State classes. All students need to access Blackboard the first day of class
for announcements, assignments, homework, virtual classes, online classes, grades,
and more. Click below to login, or view the accordion for login directions, step-by-step tutorial
& more.
Use your single sign-on User name and Password when logging into Blackboard.
Use the Credentials detailed below to login your Blackboard student account.
Default User Name: Your User Name for Blackbard is your student A-Number + @lawsonstate.edu
NOTE: This is also your email address.
User Name EXAMPLE: A00067746@lawsonstate.edu
Default Password: Your password has 3 components: Exclamation point ! + LSCC + Date of birth [MMDDYY]
Password EXAMPLE: !LSCC091502 [example if a student was born Sept. 15, 2002]. Do NOT forget the EXCLAMATION Point.
NOTE: Three incorrect login attempts will lock you out of email.
Faculty: To access Blackboard, use your same login User Name and Password you use to access Email.
If you are new to Blackboard Ultra, complete the Blackboard Orientation course.
Follow these steps to complete your Blackboard Orientation:
Step 1: Watch the Introductory video above.
Step 2: Login to Blackboard
Step 2: Locate and click on the Organizations tab
Step 3: Click on the Blackboard Orientation FREE course

Having issues logging into Blackboard, try reseting your single sign-on password. Click here to begin the request. Remember, you use the same User name and Password for Blackboard, Email and MyLawson. If the reset option does not work, contact the Help Desk below.
