in the Lawson State Community College Speakers
Bureau offer a varying range of information
to be shared with media, businesses, community
organizations, churches and schools. Lawson
State offers the Speakers Bureau as a community
service and welcomes the opportunity for its
participants to speak and share knowledge and
views on issues of concern.
Requests should be submitted at
least two weeks prior to your preferred presentation
date. Beyond that, consideration will be honored
based on the availability of the expert. If
you are interested in a topic that you do not
see listed here, please contact us and we will
be happy to determine whether there is someone
who can speak to your topic.

When e-mailing, please
include the following:
• Topic desired;
• Name of your
organization or group;

etc.) and their special interests; and

at Southern Research Institute for eight years
and presented and published primarily at EPA
affiliated meetings and publications. I use
the Tegrity Campus 2.0 system in all my mathematics,
physics, and physical science classes.

Automotive Alternative Fuels
As automotive fuel prices rise
and the Nation attempts to reduce it’s
dependency on foreign oil, Lawson State Community
College initiated the Alternative Fuel Training
Center located on the Bessemer Campus. On December
12 Lawson State was granted membership in the
National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium
(NAFTC), a division of West Virginia University.
Lawson State is the only NAFTC certified training
center in Alabama.
