Lawson State PBL also received the largest chapter attendance award at the Conference.  These awards were presented at the luncheon held in the Sheraton Civic Center Ballroom.  The speaker for the luncheon was Mr. Clifford E. Ray.  Mr. Ray spoke on the limitless possibilities available to those with the determination to walk through the doors of opportunity available to them and use their skills and education to possess their goals.  Education is a process that never ceases; it just moves from level to level.

Those PBL members who participated in the competition showed strong, aggressive leadership qualities that epitomize the objectives of Phi Beta Lambda.  Each participant demonstrated a willingness to take responsibility for carrying out his/her assigned tasks in a manner that has brought recognition and praise to themselves, to PBL and to Lawson State Community College.  All first and second place winners will represent the State of Alabama at the National Leadership Conference, June 29 - July 2, 2003, in Dallas, Texas.
