Provides an opportunity for students to enroll and complete their GED, Obtain employability skills, and computer training.

Administers a pre-test to help assess strength and weaknesses.

Classes Meet:

 

Morning:

M - F  8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.

1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Bessemer Only

Evening:

M - TH  5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

The Army National Guard and the U.S. Army have partnered with Lawson State Community College One Stop Center  and the Adult Education Program.  They will assist with program activities, mark interviews and mentoring.

Includes mentoring, a summer enrichment camp, family outreach, career shadowing/preparation and cultural enrichment activities.

Raises students enrollment in college, improves standardized test scores, reduces dropout rates and increases college admissions upon graduation from high school.

Refers taxpayers who have income tax controversies to the appropriate authorities.

Informs taxpayers who speak English as a second language about their rights and responsibilities concerning the rules and regulations according to the Internal  Revenue Service.
