WEB-BASED ANNUAL
FALL SURVEYS FOR
STUDENTS
LOGGING ON:
Start your Internet
browser by double
clicking on the desktop
icon. Type in the URL
listed below and push
enter.
http://edmastery.com/lawson/
A logon screen similar
to the following will
appear.

Enter your assigned
username and password.
STUDENTS:
The username is defined
as follows:
Your
7-digit student
identification number.
The password is defined
as follows: your
birthday in the format
yyyymmdd: 19840628.
Click on Sign In and
this will allow you
access to the main page
of the system.

The main page of the
system contains all the
surveys assigned to the
user. NOTE: For
students, a listing of
the courses in his/her
schedule will appear.
Double click on the
first course, and the
survey(s) assigned for
the selected course
shall appear. Also, the
course and section
number will appear in
the Period/Class box in
the demographic section
at the top of the
screen. Students
MUST complete the
survey(s) assigned for
each course.
Thus, if a student is
taking five courses, the
student will respond to
at least five surveys.
NOTE TO STUDENTS: Some
students may be assigned
the same survey for more
than one
course/section. For
example: A student may
be taking Biology 201 as
well as Reading 114.
Both courses may have
the Academic Advising
Survey assigned. The
students should respond
to the Academic Advising
Survey only once.
A student may have the
same instructor for more
than one course. The
students should respond
to the Course and
Instructor Evaluation
for each course.
Click on one of the
course/sections.
TAKING THE SURVEY
All surveys assigned to
the user are displayed
as well as the status.
This user is a student;
two surveys are assigned
for the course/section.
To begin recording
responses to a survey,
double click on the name
of the survey. The
following screen will
appear.

READ THE DESCRIPTION
CAREFULLY.

TO BEGIN THE SURVEY,
CLICK TAKE SURVEY NOW!
The following screen
will appear. Notice the
option "Return to
Class". Clicking on
this option will return
the use to the main page
of the system. One may
also use the "Back"
option on the tool bar.

Read the instructions
carefully. Use Return
to Exam View or the
back arrow to move the
previous screen. When
you are ready, click on
Take Exam.
The first question in
the survey will appear.
Point to your response
and click
Save Response.
REMINDER: In the
description of the
survey, a statement
appeared about the
comment box at the end
of the survey. Please
share any comments
regarding any aspect of
the survey in the
comment box before
completing the survey.
REMINDER: Once a person
begins the survey,
he/she should try to
finish the entire
survey. However, if for
some reason you are
unable to finish the
survey in one sitting,
simply LOGOUT. When you
are ready to begin
again, log on to the
system; from the main
page of the system,
double click on the
survey name you need to
complete. The first
question you completed
will appear on the
screen. Use the
UNANSWERED drop down box
at the bottom of the
screen to identify the
first unanswered
question. Select the
number and move forward
with the survey.

Notice the section JUMP
TO:
this section allows the
user to check for any
unanswered questions as
well as to jump across
several questions.
IMPORTANT: If you are
inactive for 20 minutes,
the system will log you
out.
When you have completed
the survey, click return
to survey view. This
will allow you to select
the next survey assigned
to the user or you may
click LOGOUT.
