Played in 31 games, starting the final 13 … averaged 7.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, figures that ranked third and second on the team, respectively … posted team-bests in field goal percentage (.514) and offensive rebounds (68) … also second on the team with 44 steals and added 20 blocks … reached double figures eight times, highlighted by a season-high 20-point night against Sam Houston State (Nov. 9) in his first game as a Razorback … scored double-digit points in the second half alone three times … recorded his first career double-double against Kentucky (Mar. 2) with 14 points, along with season-highs of 12 rebounds and six assists … led the team in scoring twice and rebounding on 10 occasions … shot 74 percent (75-101) from the free throw line and knocked down 9-of-19 attempts from beyond the arc … ranked 16th in the SEC in rebounding (5.4) in league action … grabbed an offensive carom in 26 of 31 games, including five or more four times … hauled down 11 rebounds, highlighted by a season-high seven on the offensive glass against No. 24 Wisconsin (Nov. 24) … scored 14 points against Alcorn State (Dec. 15) in just 14 minutes … contributed 10 points and eight rebounds over 13 minutes against Alabama A&M (Dec. 22) … reached double figures in SEC play four times, beginning with 13 points in a win over Mississippi State (Jan. 23) … averaged 10.6 points over the final eight games of the year … went for 13 points in a win over Missouri (Feb. 16) on a perfect 3-for-3 from three, while adding seven rebounds … led the team with 18 points at No. 4 Florida (Feb. 23) on 8-of-8 from the field to go along with seven boards, including five offensive, and three blocks … ended the season with a steal in 14 straight games and an offensive rebound in the last 10.

Lawson State Community College (2010-12)

Averaged a double-double over two seasons …. posted averages of 12.8 points and 12.1 rebounds through 54 contests … ranked No. 8 in the Junior College Top 100 rankings by JucoRecruiting.com … two-time All-Region and All-Conference team selection … finished with 40 double-doubles, including two of the 20-20 variety, and a pair of triple-doubles topped off by assists … scored in double figures 46 of 54 games, including three 20-point outings … grabbed double-digit rebounds 42 times, including 20+ in four contests … as a sophomore, ranked second in the nation in rebounding (13.6) while averaging 16.3 points … reached double figures all 26 games, finishing his career with 30 straight … finished with 22 double-doubles … also led the team in assists (4.8), steals (53) and blocks (47) … named the NJCAA Player of the Week after a triple-double of 18 points, 22 rebounds and 12 assists against Gadsden State CC … grabbed a career-high 23 rebounds against Faulkner State CC … as a freshman, averaged 11.1 points and 11.3 rebounds … added 49 steals and 36 blocks … finished in double figures 20 of 28 games with 18 doubles.

Pinson Valley High School

Three-time All-State selection, including twice on the first team … played in the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star game … named to the Birmingham News Super 12 … won the Alabama High School Slam Dunk championship his junior and senior year.



Former Lawson State Athlete (2008-2009) Authors Book 

Tommie Mabry played one season at Lawson State and went on to graduate from Tougaloo College in Mississippi.   He is the first person in his family to finish high school. Tommie was always considered a trouble maker, having been kicked out of every elementary and middle school he attended. During most of his youth, Tommie was in and out of the detention centers. He sustained a gun shot that he claims was his wake-up call, forcing him toward the right path. Tommie went on to finish college and is now teaching at a middle school in Jackson   He now lives by his motto, "I cannot walk in my future with my foot in my past".
