Welcome to the Lawson State Community College's Adult Education Consortium (AEC).  The trainings at the various sites offer an opportunity to gain basic skills in writing, science, reading, math, and social studies.  Upon completion, the participants possess the skills necessary to compete in today's workplace.

The GED provides individuals with an opportunity to earn high school credentials. There are five tests required for completion.  A candidate that successfully passes the tests exhibits the same level compared to a high school graduate.  The five tests required for GED credentials are in the following areas:

• Language Arts - Writing

• Language - Reading

• Mathematics

• Science

• Social Studies
