BUILDING
CONSTRUCTION (BUC) |
|
MISSION:
The
mission of the Building Construction program is to prepare
students for successful employment in residential and
commercial construction and to offer continuing education. |
|
The skills
taught in the Building Construction program, when coupled
with field experience, permits graduates to advance to
project managers, appraisers, first-line supervisors,
estimators, expeditors and building inspectors. The
Associate degree in Building Construction begins with
blueprint reading and basic tools and materials. Classes
provide opportunities to work on foundations, floors, walls,
and roofs. Students will also gain experience in the use of
industry standard computer software. This program
consists of one short certificate and one A.A.S. degree. |
