At least 25 percent of
the credit hours required for the degree are earned through instruction offered
by the institution awarding the degree.
In the case of undergraduate degree programs offered through joint,
cooperative, or consortia arrangements, the student earns 25 percent of the
credits required for the degree through instruction offered by the
participating institutions. (See

Narrative:
Lawson State Community
College complies with Alabama State Board of Education Policy 715.01 (Policy 715.01) which states that at
least 25 percent of the semester credit hours required for a degree must be
completed at the institution granting the degree. Requirements for graduation from Lawson State
Community College are outlined on pages 27-28 of the Student
Catalog and Handbook and state that a student
must: “complete at least 25% of the total semester credit hours required in the
program at Lawson State Community College.”
This requirement is monitored by the Records Office during the review of
graduation audits. Courses completed at
other institutions are appropriately noted on the student’s transcript.

College does not award any credits through instruction offered through joint,
cooperative, or consortia arrangements.
